Today, at approximately 3:11 p.m., the Parker Police Department received a call of a white female acting strangely at a credit union in the area of Parker Road and Plaza Drive. The caller thought suspect was casing the credit union. When the suspect left, the caller gave our dispatch a description of the vehicle.

Two minutes later, an Officer spotted the suspect’s vehicle nearly stopped on Parker Road. The Officer told the driver, Carlee Winegardner (09/07/93), to stop. After the Officer exited her vehicle, the suspect yelled out her window and drove off.

After following the suspect into the parking lot at 9751 S. Parker Road, another Officer pulled his vehicle in front of the suspect forcing her to stop. The Officer approached the suspect who was still in her vehicle, with his weapon drawn and repeatedly commanded the suspect to get out of her car. After the suspect ignored many commands to exit the vehicle, the Officer opened her door and removed her from the car. During the course of the suspect being removed from the car she assaulted the Officer by kicking him in the face. The suspect continued to fight the Officers and they were forced to Taser her to place her into custody.

The suspect has been taken to the Douglas County Jail and booked on the following felony charges, 2nd Degree Assault/ Assault on a Peace Officer and Eluding. Additional booking charges are: Obstruction, Resisting Arrest, Reckless Driving, Driving Under the Influence of Drugs and a Violation of Bond conditions from a criminal case in Loveland on April 25.

One Parker Police Officer was treated at an area hospital and released with minor injuries.
