Through excellent detective work and with the assistance of the Kentucky State Police, 24 year old Javier Alexander Martell (03/16/94), was arrested on November 14, 2018, in Burnside, Kentucky for the August 2018 Goodwill robbery in Parker.
On August 25, 2018, Parker Police Officers responded to Goodwill shortly after 9:00 p.m. on reports of an armed robbery. Through the search of the surrounding area, Officers were able to locate evidence, including the gun that was used in the crime. Through the use of forensic evidence gathered during the investigation, Detectives were able to identify the suspect as Javier Alexander Martell.
Martell faces the following charges:
Aggravated Robbery CRS 18-4-302-Class 3 Felony
Menacing CRS 18-3-206- Class 5 Felony
Theft CRS 28-4-401-Class 5 Felony
Conspiracy to Commit Aggravated Robbery and Theft CRS 18-2-201 and 18-4-302-Class 6 Felony
Assault in the Third Degree CRS 18-3-204-Class 1 Misdemeanor
We would like to thank the Kentucky State Police for their assistance and the arrest of Javier Martell. He is currently in the Pulaski County Detention Center in Kentucky. Martell has waived extradition and will be brought back to Douglas County to begin criminal court proceedings.
