Parker Police Stop Vehicle Break-Ins with Neighbor’s Help

The Parker Police Department would like to thank the alert neighbor who called us early this morning when she saw two suspects breaking into vehicles at approximately 3:15 a.m. Officers were able to respond to the 19600 block of East Clubhouse Drive within two minutes of the call coming in while the suspects were still on scene. After searching the area and a foot chase, one of the two juvenile suspects was arrested. There were no injuries to the suspect or Officers and the suspect was transported to the Marvin W. Foote Youth Services Center.

The suspects arrived in Parker in a stolen vehicle out of Jefferson County. We are currently working with the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office to locate the identified second suspect and determine if there were additional crimes committed.

Because of this quick thinking resident and our quick footed Officers we were able to limit the number of criminal trespasses to only three. We are so grateful for our community members who look out for each other and help us keep our community safe. If you see something that doesn’t look right, give us a call so we can respond as quickly as possible.

We are asking for anyone who may have information or saw anything suspicious in the Parker Hilltop Apartments shortly after 3:00 a.m. this morning to contact Detective Kavanagh at 303.805.6566 or tkavanagh@parkeronline.org.
